The Pokemon TCG National Championship 2010

was held on the 12th of June, 2010 at Millenia Walk. It was a successful event where hundreds of People attended the competition for a day of intense battling.

In the Juniors and Seniors Division, (aged below 10 for Juniors, 11-15 for seniors), players battled for 4 rounds of swiss matchup, and the top 2 players is selected for the finals. In the final game for the junior, Claire beat Chi Song and remain undefeated to claim to the top prize of the trophy, a box of HS unleashed Pokemon Trading Card Game Boosters, and a Nintendo DSi.

In the Seniors Division, Kenneth played against Xue Qi in the Final Round using a Jumpluff Deck and won undefeated as well in the tournament to claim the 1st prize of a Trophy, Nintendo Wii, and a box of HS Unleashed Pokemon TCG boosters.

In the Masters Division, as there are more that 50 players competed for the Championship, they played a total of 6 games of swiss round, before the top 8 players are decided to compete in the Single Elimination Quarter Finals.

After the Quarter and Semi finals, Darren Ling and Lim Jit Min defeated all other opponents and proceeded to the Finals. Darren Ling, who won the previous tournament at Bishan Junction 8, played using a Luxray / Garchomp SP deck while Jit Min used a Shuppet Tech Rogue Deck. After hours of battles, Darren triump over Jit Min by winning the first 2 game.

The 1st Place Winner from each Division has won a free travel award and will be flying to Hawaii on 14th August to represent Singapore in the Pokemon World Championship.

Everyone was happy to be at this tournament, and Maxsoft Pte Ltd, the organizer is more than happy to organize the event again next year. Thanks to all the players who supported the event!
